Lucy has been working in the environmental industry for the last 10 years, specializing in the impacts of coastal, marine and port developments in New Zealand and the Pacific. She has a post graduate diploma in environmental science and was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship to study coastal management.

After growing up in the UK, Lucy travelled for a number of years and settled in beautiful New Zealand. Lucy now lives in a small coastal town, savouring the best the active outdoor lifestyle offers. She can often be found out enjoying the water on her own boat.

Lucy is active in a number of associations and organisations, including the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand. She is a Board Member of Tourism Bay of Plenty, which is focused on promoting the Bay as a tourist destination.

Her passion for writing means she spends much of her time out and about discovering cool new places and people. Lucy writes environmental columns and features for a number of magazines.
